Need to track gym progress without a spreadsheet of sets, reps, and PRs? Skip the gym-app download and the Google Sheet. This howtoany walkthrough uses a browser workout log so history, weekly volume, and personal records show up from the sets you already lift.
If you only need help recording a session, see how to log workouts without a gym app. This guide is about turning those logged sets into progress you can read.
Steps
Open MyRepLog. Go to myreplog.com in your phone or laptop browser. No app-store download is required.
Create a free account. Sign up with no card. Logging is free forever — unlimited sessions, full history, and automatic personal records.
Log each set. During the session, log the weight and reps for every set. Use kg or lb, whichever you already train in.
Finish the session. End it so training history, weekly volume, and automatic personal records save from the sets you just logged.
Check progress views. Open your progress to see training history, weekly volume, session streaks, top lifts per exercise, and a PR badge when you beat a previous best.
What shows up instead of the spreadsheet
A sheet can hold numbers. The point of logging sets is to read them back without hunting rows:
- Training history of the sessions you finished
- Weekly volume so load across the week is visible
- Session streaks so consistency is obvious
- Top lifts per exercise instead of a personal-best column you update by hand
- Automatic PRs — a badge when you beat a previous best, so you do not compare last month’s max yourself
Those views come from free logging. AI coaching and advanced strength analytics sit on MyRepLog Pro if you want them later — they are not required to track gym progress.
Tips
- Follow a program you already have, or browse training programs (beginner, strength, hypertrophy, fat loss, 3-day, and home training) and then log against that structure.
- Glance at exercise technique guides if you want cues for a lift before you start.
- Add the site to your home screen as a progressive web app if you want an icon; you can keep opening it in the browser either way.
Open MyRepLog and log the next session so the history, volume, and PRs have something to show.
